The lodge was built for comfort, in a country setting, close to great four season recreation and adventure opportunities. Our lodge captures the spirit of the surrounding forest in its handcrafted post and beams, rich fir flooring and furnishings. Handmade decorations, images, wildlife art, and details feature treasures from Irv & Maria's travels and their Canadian & Spanish heritage. Enjoy spectacular views of the river valley, Rockies & Purcells from the breakfastroom, TV lounge or upper library, each with decks. We keep binoculars handy for viewing when eagles, ospreys or elk feed on the river and wetlands. Satellite TV, VCR and computer with high speed internet are in the lounge for guests to enjoy plus an assortment of cards, chess, checkers, cribbage and kids games.

Ten guest rooms surround the open post and beam great room. Relax in comfortable seating around the crackling fireplace, bathed in natural light from skylights and overhead windows. Six guestrooms have queen beds covered in warm and cozy duvets. Two rooms have two double beds and great views. The large loftroom has two double beds and a comfortable sofabed. Room 10 on the main level with queen bed and comfortable sofabed is a reat for that special occasion. Each room has a private bath to enjoy a relaxing soak in a jacuzzi tub!

Guests are treated to a hearty breakfast from 7:30 to 9:00 AM daily. In addition to the hosts serving something hot daily (ie pancakes & eggs), guests have a complimentary choice of fresh fruit, yogurt, variety of cereals, toast, juice, coffee & tea served. We are pleased to recommend many fine dining options in Golden. Dining at The Eagle's Eye, reached by taking a Gondola(4000 ft rise) at Kicking Horse Resort, is an extraordinary culinary experience!! We highly recommend dining at Kicking Horse Grill, Sisters & Beans, & Cedar House when in Golden
